Black Flamingo

Well, I suppose we've all seen Flamingo's at one time or other either in a zoo or on a TV wildlife program or even as a cardboard decoration in someone's front lawn but those Flamingo's are usually pink in color. Now take a look at this rare black flamingo that was recently spotted in the middle of a flock of other (Pink) Flamingo's:

I do wonder why. Flamingoes actually get the pink color from their diet, as they eat primarily shrimp and small shellfish. I guess the genetic abnormality mentiobed in the article overrode the pink from its diet.
