Is there any reason why Noah had Tele as a camp spell? Is it perhaps tied to a secret? Or merely an oversight by the programmers by putting a combat-only spell into the camp list of spells?

I can't think of any non-battle use for it off the top of my head. Maybe it was intended for use with some of the NPCs, but that idea wasn't fully fleshed out when the game was finished.

It does have it's own text. In battle it says something like "Noah and Sworm cannot understand each other". In camp it says "Noah feels nothing" as if Tele can be used to feel something (hidden passages (or beasts behind passages to make it more accurate with what Tele is, namely Telepathy))?

Ah I never thought about it and I even never SAW that Tele was also a camp spell for Noah :! Nedd to test it ! Thanks for the tip :) But I have no answer to this question...

The same goes for me actually. I never noticed before. When I was playing through Hordes of Nei I started looking at what magics got swapped for all the characters etc. Suddenly I realised I couldn't remember what the five magics for Noah were in camp. I got as far as Open, Exit, Rise and Cure. Then I noticed Noah Tele in HoN and started the original and ROM and behold...Noah had Tele in camp as well.

I've tried it out on a few occasions, including traps the house Hapsby is supposed to be in etc but it doesn't seem to do anything. I used it on hidden doors in dungeons as well, again no effect.

It's for finding traps. I used it right in front of one of those holes in the ground and it says "Noah has a terrible Premonition.

AMAZING !! Even after more than 20 years of Phantasy Star...we discovered "new" things !! Me too I never knew that ! I'll try it this evening....thanks a lot for the tip !! I'm so happy...:)
