Anyone who's smart knows that gaming is moving into the casual market, with games like Angry Birds and Farmville. I can't say either interests me, but that's what's capturing attention these days: Games that are apps and can be played on any device, not exclusive to a giant gaming console.
Sony seems to be right in there with that on the PSP, but Nintendo is pretty staunchly against it. Nintendo doesn't mind having some of those games ported to their systems, but they're in the mindset that gaming will be better on platforms designed primarily, if not exclusively for gaming. It'll be interesting to see which approach turns out better in the long run.
