This is the subscription-only variant cover of Nintendo Power #238, the first issue of the long running magazine to feature a Phantasy Star title on the cover. Two versions of the issue were printed, each with a different cover to encourage both subscription and newsstand purchases. Unlike the newsstand version, which needed to promote the book's content with a lot of text, this cover focuses on the artwork. Both covers were also included included as posters in Nintendo Power Posters 2009.

That's cool!

It used to drive me crazy when magazines did the two version cover stuff. You usually wanted both versions and just had to figure out a way to get them both! :lol:
