New PlayStation 3 package announced

Postby Thoul » Thu Oct 15, '09, 10:10 pm

So far, the PlayStation 3 slim model has sold over a million units, so Sony has decided that now is the perfect time to announce a new version of the slim release coming to stores. Beginning November 3, the new package will offer a 250 GB hard drive for $350. The currently available slim comes with a 120 GB hard drive. Other than the HD size, the systems are the same.

Any thoughts on this? If I had bought a PS3 slim already, I would be annoyed by this. More hard drive space is always a nice thing to have and the price is only $50 over the current model.

I might be a little annoyed, but after every so often, I expect updated releases to consoles every so often, so it doesn't bother me all that much. Heck, I own the 80 gig 'fat' version and I have no ill will at all. I have plenty of room to spare.

As long as the PS3 is selling and successful, then I'm happy. :)
