Who's your favorite japanese singer

If you like that kind of music who's your favorite? Mines tied with Utada Hikaru and Deen, they both sing great songs *not just anime or game music either* My favorite song by Utada is Wait and See and my favorite by Deen is Yume De Aru Youni (To Be Your Dream)

Hmmmm, that's a great question. I don't really know of any Japanese singers offhand that I can recall. Guess I'm more into the "oldies" music than some of the current stuff. I look forward to hearing and finding out more about some of the artist names that may be mentioned in this thread though.

The only Japanese musician I'm aware of is a DJ named Satoshi Tomeii. I believe he's entirely techno. He had a awesome track in the Animatrix that wasn't on the album, (...why?) The rest of his stuff just sounds like typical European dance music, as far as I know, that is.

Megumi Hayashibara is my favorite japanese idol. She has not only done wonderful songs, but also did alot of opening songs for animes which includes

Ontop of that, she also did voice actiong

I know she did other voices, but those are the ones that stand out for me
