Today, May 8, is V E Day! Perhaps better known as " Victory In Europe" Day. For those of you who don't know, or don't remember about this day from your history studies :wink:

Ooops, it seems that yesterday, Thursday, May 8th was the anniversary of V E Day. Sorry for the late post but everyday is a good day to remember this historic occasion and date. :usa:

And, another note to add regarding this day, but it is true of all wars that have ever been fought anywhere at any time. Some people that were born many years ago during this war that may have had a soldier (American or otherwise) as a Father, or think they may have, are now deciding after so many years to try and find their birth father and learn more about their own genealogy, etc.:

The 77th anniversary of VE Day was officially yesterday, Sunday, May 08, 2022, however many places in the world are having observerances today on Monday.
