Tomorrow, Thursday May 7, is when the " National Day Of Prayer " is being celebrated and recognized by many in the United States this year.

Here are a few links with more about this day, it's origins, etc.:

The White House usually has some special event to recognize this day, however, President Obama has decided to scale back on that this year:

How do you feel about the way President Obama is handling this issue? Do you agree or disagree with his views to tone it down on this occassion?

Sadly, while I am Catholic, I've never really taken notice of National Prayer Day. :yikes: I'll try to do something for it this year.
Obama's toning it down, which is saddening, but he's not cutting completely so I can't really complain.

The article has results of a number of various polls taken regarding how certain people feel about prayer, etc. According to these polls about 83% say God answers prayer and about 57% are in favor of a 'National Day Of Prayer'.
