The world watched today/tonight by television and other means as the world famous Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France was on fire and burning heavily. Supposedly the fire was accidental but there has not been enough time for a complete investigation as yet. Gratefully, the last I heard, there were no fatalaties.

Our prayers and condolences go out to the French people on this loss. :cry:

It has already been said that rebuilding will happen later.

What a tragedy !

Yesterday evening, we were all watching the terrible news on TV and some were near the cathedral. Hard to watch that but unfortunately there are no dead people ! It's a miracle but now...

Yes, now the hard part will begin with the rebuilding and restoration efforts, etc.

I read some more interesting articles this morning related to the fire. It seems many unique artifacts and statues were saved. Some statues were taken to a safe place when the restoring efforts began that were currently underway so they were safe from the fire. Also some other items were saved by heroes once the first had started.
