Mountain Goat attacks hiker

A 63 year old man has died following an attack by a Mountain Goat while the man was hiking:

We usually always tend to think of most animals as not being violent or such, but sometimes they can be, so be careful at all times.

I wonder what set this goat off. I'm sorry the man died, but I also have to wonder if he did something to provoke the goat. Maybe he didn't and it had rabies or something, but I just have to wonder.

It could have been a territorial thing
