Did anyone see the Barbara Walters show this week about who she thought were the ten most fascinating people of 2008? The following people were on her list:

1. Barack Obama - (Pres.-Elect & Most fascinating person of 2008)
2. Tom Cruise - (actor)
3. Sarah Palin - (Gov. Alaska, GOP VP candidate)
4. Frank Langella - (actor)
5. Thomas Beatie - (aka "pregnant man")
6. Rush Limbaugh - (Talk show host)
7. Tina Fey - (Actress, Saturday Night Live, etc.)
8. Miley Cyrus - (singer, actress)
9. Michael Phelps - (Olympian Swimmer)
10. Will Smith - (Actor)

What do you think of this list? Who would you keep on this list? Who would you take away from this list? Who would you have picked to be on the list of most fascinating people of 2008?

Huh. I figured Heath Ledger would be on there for certain. I can understand some of them, but I don't recall Limbaugh being mentioned very much at all this past year.

I really can't believe that Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt weren't on the list this year. They've been all over the news with their acting careers, their family, their newborn twins, etc., etc., etc.

And, I sort of expected Brittany Spears to be on there. She's been in the news a lot lately for one thing or another.

And I even thought O.J. Simpson might make the list. He's been in the news a lot this past year too.
