The US State of Florida will soon be seeing a new modified mosquito in the Florida Keys areas to help fight various diseases, etc. This has already been tried in Brazil, etc.

Mosquitoes, along with Wasps, are definitely the bane of my existence here in FL. Hopefully this action will go a long way in controlling the population and preventing them from swarming around here during the Summer months.

This is a good thing especially as climate warms up, and Florida is at increasing risk of seeing tropical mosquitoes, and the diseases they carry, become endemic.
