Midnight Sun

Thinking about moving to Inuvik, Canada where they are now having 24 hours of sunlight for a total of 56 days. And, winter only lasted for one month.

I dated, well, 2 girls both from Sweden at different points in my life. Anyway, apparently there as well, Summer days are 20+ hours of sunlight. But the trade-off is Winter has 20+ hours of darkness in a day. I enjoy sunlight, but am a total night owl. I imagine constant sunlight must have detrimental effects on people; especially cortisol and melatonin levels. But I bet the views of the sky are nice indeed.

Yeah, constant sun may seem nice at first, but I would bet it has drawbacks. Plus, it's not a summer-like high-in-the-sky sun, it's more of a low dusk-like sun for hours, as I understand it.

I wouldnt mind that too much. As if the world was frozen in sepia.

Oh, I don't think I'd mind it either. I'm just saying, depending on what you like, constant sun may not be all one would think it to be.

That's how it is here in Finland in summertime, as well. It's sometimes hard to get sleep when it's not dark enough. Other than that it has no significance to me. I guess someone who's not used to it could find it romantic.
