Not to be too much of a cynic, but MJ is the type of guy you'd expect to fake his death. Until some more places confirm it, i'd take this news with a grain of salt. R.I.P if it's true though...

too bad. he really should have taken better care of himself.

I was never much of a fan of his music, but he was definitely influential in the field and modern culture in general. It's very sad that he's gone. It will be a day a lot of people remember for years to come, just like Elvis' passing.

I just heard about this on the news, and yes...I guess it seems to be true. R.I.P Michael Jackson, although I wasn't much of a fan.

I just saw a part of a news conference with Michael's brother, Jermaine Jackson, and he confirmed Michael's death also. Very sad day for the Jackson Family and all of Michael's many, many, many fans everywhere.

Atleast he doesn't have to deal with any past pain anymore or consistantly being a running joke. It's probably better this way, though it was still strange to hear that he had died. I didn't expect to wake up to that news. I liked his songs as a kid but grew out of him. Still kind of shocking though.
