Sad news. He was a very talented actor. He was terrific in "The Green Mile" and in "Armageddon". He will be missed.

Condolences to his family. :tombstone: :rose:

I had no idea that he was that old. I would have thought he was around 45 at most. Mr. Duncan also did some video game voice acting, too. I don't think I've played any of his games, which is a shame. He had a great voice and screen presence.

Found some more news today on actor Michael Clark Duncan who recently passed away.

Thoul was correct about Duncan doing voice work in several video games.

Duncan was also in several movies including "The Green Mile", "Daredevil", "Armageddon" (which I watched again this past weekend) and he had a small voice part in "The Green Lantern" movie among many other movie and TV roles. He also talked about possibly doing a "Daredevil" sequel movie, and one of the most surprising things was that he wanted to play the role of Panthro in a "Thundercats" movie. Seems he was very fond of Panthro! That would have been awesome to see.

Also, friends gathered to celebrate Duncan's life with a memorial service:

Duncan will be much missed. May he R.I.P. :rose:

I would have liked to have seen both of those. When I first heard he was being cast as Kingpin in Daredevil, I was unsure about that. Watching the film, I was glad to see that he was a good choice to cast; he was able to fill the role in terms of both the physical and expressive presence it needed. I doubt anyone else could have done as well.

And I always thought he'd make a great Panthro. He had the perfect voice for it. Such a shame that will never happen. :(
