Yes. Please, everyone from the USA, this is the real National holiday.

Once we leave school, we barely notice "cinco de mayo" here.

Late as well. I wasn't aware that cinco de mayo wasn't taken that seriously, but interesting to learn nonetheless! Happy independence day anyway!

Yeah, I was very impressed when I learned it was treated like a national big party on the USA. Only people who "celebrate" it here are school children because they get a free day from school, but that's it.

But on September 15th and 16th, that's where the real celebration is for everyone.

Icecypher, thanks for letting us know that about Cinco De Mayo! I also had no idea. I am glad you shared that information with us so we would be better informed on the subject. We learn something new almost every day, and that is a good thing! :yes:
