Today is Wednesday, May 30, 2018! May 30th is the traditional and original day that Memorial Day is observed on.

Memorial Day is one of those group of holidays that was officially changed a few years ago so it could be celebrated as one of those three day holiday weekends, and thereby be observed on a Monday. Thus it was officially celebrated on Monday of this week on May 28th.

So whether you celebrate the day on an official Monday or on the traditional day of May 30, please remember why the day is being celebrated and remember those who have died in service to their country.

As a side note here, I always tend to celebrate Memorial Day on the traditional day of May 30th. Probably because I have an uncle that was born on May 30th, and it just seems right for me to do it on this day. But the important thing is just to remember the day!

Memorial Day weekend begins tomorrow in the USA! And some may even be celebrating today also. Memorial Day will be observed this year on Monday, May 27, making it a 3 day weekend holiday for everyone.

Traditional Memorial Day will be May 30th as always. It is important to remember the traditional (and original) day that Memorial Day is celebrated also. For one reason there are many people that were born on the original May 30th Memorial Day. My late uncle was one of those and I always remember his birthday on this day. So Happy Birthday to all those Memorial Day folks also.

Regardless of which day you celebrate, remember the most important thing is to remember, honor, and give thanks for all those who have died in service to their country.

You will probably hear a lot about the poppy flowers during this holiday as well. The Poppy is the official flower for Memorial Day! In many places Veterans will be out handing out artificial poppy flowers made by disabled Veterans. The Poppy's may be free or for a small donation to help the Veteran's, etc.

Honoring all those who died while in military service to their country!

Memorial Day is being celebrated on Monday, May 25, this year of 2020. Memorial Day weekend festivities are being held in many places on today (Saturday) and tomorrow (Sunday) as well as on Monday so everyone can enjoy a 3 day weekend!

The traditional Memorial Day is always on May 30th. Making note of that for those that have birthdays on that day.

Also remember why we celebrate this day and honor all those that gave their lives in service to their country. All gave some, Some gave All.

Bumping this up again as today, May 30, 2020 is the original Memorial Day. Although the Memorial Day holiday was celebrated last weekend as one of those holidays moved so everyone could enjoy a 3 day weekend, many people still remember the original day. In my own family, I had an uncle who was born on May 30th, so I always remember his birthday on Memorial Day.
