Participation Guidelines Updated

The Participation Guidelines have been updated today. This update is mostly to clarify a few things that we've been seeing questions about recently, but it also simplifies and consolidates a few points. I recommend that all members read the updated Participation Guidelines.

A few highlights:
  • Better display of info on contacting staff.
  • New point about not artificially inflating post count, achievements, etc.
  • Some clarification on censor bypasses.
  • Combined the copyright infringement & plagiarism sections into other sections.
  • A bit more clarity on inflammatory comments.
  • Infraction points now expire after 60 days.
  • Re-inforcing that violations are handled privately by staff.
  • A few added notes about the reasons for some of the guidelines, such as legal stuff and relationships with service providers.
