USPS Forever Stamps

The Post Office says all new first class stamps will now be "forever" stamps:

Sounds good to me. Stamps are about as high priced as they need to go. I don't mail very much stuff any more since e-mail, etc., mainly due to the high postal rates, etc., and the convenience of doing most things online these days.

I imagine that the next time the rates go up, people who do a lot of mailing will be moving to buy the "forever" stamps before the increase. In some ways, that might actually hurt the postal service in the long term, since it would mean fewer stamps sold at the higher rate.
