Astronaut loses tools in space

Some people are always losing things, but this takes the prize for what, when, and where, I think.

I just wonder where the tools will wind up. Nobody said, and there doesn't seem to be very much concern about them. Hope aliens don't collide with them somewhere and interpret it as a hostile act or sign from us. :wink:

And, what do you think about the recycling efforts up there in converting the urine into water? All things considered, it sounds like the space station is getting a much needed make over.

Well, knowing NASA, that's probably half a million dollars worth of tools. I imagine it will just drift around in orbit for a long time, until it eventually falls back to Earth and burns up in orbit.

I guess the recycling effort is good, but I wouldn't want to use that water. At least they do plan to test it first. But really, couldn't they have done that part down here?
