King of Thorn (new anime movie)

King of Thorn is a new Sci-Fi anime movie that’s coming out. It’s getting a release in few cinemas in Australia thanks to Madman Entertainment who are responsible for bringing most anime into this country. Too bad it won’t be coming to a cinema near my town. I’ll just have to wait for the DVD release.
In my opinion it seems like its got elements from Ghost in the Shell, Alien and War of the Worlds all in one.

It looks like the movie may be a little bit more gory than I would like, (I doubt they scratched the surface in the trailer), but it does look very interesting. The story concepts presenting in the trailer intrigue me. I hope I get to see the movie sometime, though I doubt it will be in my local theater either.

I’m also looking forward to this one . I’ll have to agree with you Thoul, it looks like it’s going to get a bit bloody. But it can’t be too bad considering it’s only been rated M in Australia. MA15+ would be a different story however.

Don’t know how many people still remember this anime film but it’s finally getting a DVD and Blu-ray release in Australia; only took 2 whole long years. It comes out in December so I can guarantee it’ll be a Christmas present for myself from myself
