Another submission for the Phantasy Star Arts monthly jams.

This time the theme was an ad the characters could get in-game (may be Holiday-themed).

I had thought of doing an ad for the cakes from the first game, but I have never seen them... But since I have played Phantasy Star Portable 2: Infinity, I know of the KFC connection.

And since KFC is big in Japan during Christmas, it seemed to fit.

I already knew I was not a good commercial designer, but I just realized I am even worse when I try to hurry and finish the pic. :ill:

Thanks. Just to clarify, I did not create the rappy, Colonel Sanders or the font. ;)

Just kidding. I barely invested time in this, since my scanner is 6 hours from here, my parents' house, I had very little time for the lineart. That meant no Colonel, no Karen and no drawn food...

What do you think of my choosing Ethan? I know people here (myself included) like the classic games more. And even those who like online games were let down by Universe (at least by the offline portion, starring Ethan). And everyone seems to think he is just dumb.

But I like what I have seen of him in PSP. Plus, I think he became famous during the first game, so that makes him a good choice for a Christma ad.

Nice and colorful. LOL on the Rappy/KFC connection. The font is okay but a little difficult to read the smaller it gets. Great work.

Thank you!

Way I see it, rappies are common enough to live on the three planets, but rare enough to never be encountered? There has to be a reason. Infinity's inclusion of Colonel Sanders makes it all clear.

And, since I submit pics here before deviantART to give the Fringers an exclusive view for a few minutes, I always forget to link to a higher definition picture. Here it is now.

Thanks for the comments. Even though I had been very busy this second half of the year, I will hopefully manage to have a Christmas PS picture this year, too.

Before, I was telling about "Happy Rappy" but I'm not sure that turning into fried chicken is really a "happy" turn of event !
Anyway, it's always a great picture :)

In the city I live in, I have seen a lot of pictures of pigs and chicked looking very happy about the prospect of being eaten, some even during the cooking process.

One of the chicken restaurants is even named "El Pollo Feliz" (the happy chicken), with its logo being a really happy chicken apparently inviting you to go and eat its family (with big grin on its face).
