After a troubling nightmare, Rolf wakes in the safety of his bed in Paseo. As the early dawn light begins to stream in, he fights off the fear and horror from the nightmare. Little does Rolf suspect that he will, on this very day, begin an adventure that will lead him to confront a demon like that in his nightmares.

Rolf has the longest day in the world of people. If you look at it (compared to Sega standards) You don't really rest a day in a inn, you go to a hospital and get your wounds recovered. So if you look at it like this everything that happens in PSII to Rolf all happened in 1 day.. Damn monday mornings, everything bad always happens on mondays.

You're right, he does have a really long day. I'd probably break the game up into two days, with the second starting after the Gaira and Tyler incident. But still... poor ROlf couldn't even take a five minute nap.

They did the same thing in Generation 1, too, come to think of it. In the original PSI, Alis could spend some time at her friend's house, but that was removed for the remake.

And yet, phantasy star 4 characters can take all the time in the world....even if the world isn't going to last much longer, as long as they don't fight that final battle the world won't continue. XD

I find myself staring at the PS2 pictures more than the later versions. Odd.

I'm guessing the events of the game are like watching everything on fast-forward. I mean you don't see them trying to find a bathroom when scaling Climatrol.
