Ihop to Ihob ?

Hearing a lot of rumors that Ihop (International House Of Pancakes) restaurant may be soon changing their name to Ihob (nobody knows exactly what the new name means but it could be international house of breakfast ?).

That makes sense to me. They probably serve other things for breakfast besides pancakes. We will see what happens ahead.


Edit Update 6/14/2018: Well, from what I have read it seems the "b" in the Ihob may stand for burgers as it looks like the International House Of Pancakes may begin adding Burgers to their menu. The restaurant title will probably remain Ihop.

Do we really need another burger place?

On the other hand it may be good for those who really do want something else to eat besides pancakes for dinner, etc.

Okay, I read in an online article and also heard it today in a television commercial that Ihop was not serious about permanently changing their name to Ihob. They just wanted to get everyone's attention to their new line of burgers they are selling. The restaurant will still be known as Ihop (International House Of Pancakes)!!

In other words, it was just a publicity stunt to gain attention.
