I want one of these controllers!

Check this out! A company is developing a new kind of video game controller. This one is hands free, but it is not one of those infrared things like the Nintendo used to have. It reads your brainwaves! :hyper:

Wow, can you imagine not even having to move at all to play a game? You could just sit there and think about it. :starry-eyed: I really want to try one of those.

Wow. That's right up there with the Power Glove on the weirdness level! :hypnotized:

It seems like the exact opposite of what Nintendo is trying to do with the Wii. The remote gets people up and active, moving around and not just sitting like a coach potato. This sounds like it would lead to the opposite effect.

Couch potatoes unite! Don't stand for control schemes that make you active! Sit for your right to sit!

I hope they refine the tech and make it available, but replacing the classic controllers won't ever happen. This is too weird and too many people will be afraid it will alter their thought patterns or something. I can imagine the conspiracy theories now. :lookaround:

But I still want to try it at least once! :nosy:

I just read this story link, and that is creepy! No way would I want to use stuff like that for playing a game. Playing games are supposed to be fun. This seems like more of being on a scientific level or something. I don't wanna use my brain like that in playing a game.
