A rare white elephant has been found.

These rare elephants are thought to be good omens and to bring prosperity, etc.

I really don't understand why they call them "white elephants" when they are not really "white", though. Oh, I read what it said in the article, but if it's not actually white, then in my opinion, it shouldn't be called white, but I digress to those who know more about the subject than I do. :yaknow:

I suppose it's a lighter shade than other elephants, but "white" doesn't seem to apply. Maybe it's a translation issue, rising from using a word that means something like "lighter" and can also be "white." Ah, well.

It find it rather sad that people once actually went to war over four elephants.
