Digging up bones - Richard III

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Sat Aug 10, '13, 6:41 pm

Anyone here interested in archaeology?? Recently a group of these discoverers dug up what is believed to be the bones of Richard III, and now they are digging up more bones and time will tell who these bones belong to, although they have an idea who's bones they might be:

I'm interested in archeology ! Late discover of this post but I've heard about it before, and those Richard's III bones discovery.
The more surprising thing is the location of this : under a car park in the central English city of Leicester ! What a surprising place but that is archeology : you can find everything everywhere.

Update on this story. Court has ruled that Richard III will be buried in Leicester the place where his bones were discovered:

Now we wait to see if another appeal is forthcoming, or whether they will finally let this guy be laid to rest once and for all.

Thanks for the link myau56! Whoa, there is a lot of info there. I didn't get to read it all yet and will try and go back later and do that but skimming over it all quickly it really puts Richard III and all this in a better perspective, etc.
