Never fear, my Thea-loving friend. :) In fact, when the artist got back with me, she said this about Thea's hair:

Ah, that kind of hair will be a lot of fun

(Yes, she had the heart next to it, too.) See? I would never dream of changing Thea's curly green tresses.

Yeah, Thea is pretty dang schwing. You can't deny it. Pity that there's so little fan art of her out there (and that my fan art isn't that great).

I'm currently redesigning Rhys from PS3 into more of a modern Chaz like design without the cape, if you're a swordsman, that cape would get in the way.

After Rhys I think I'll work on a sexier version of Mieu. ;)

I mostly hate the capes (they're fine for the wizard-types), though the one that bothers me the most is not from PSIII but from PSIV: Rika. That cape of hers is positively ridiculous. I suppose they're for a "royal" look in PSIII, and it wouldn't bother me if it was just a traveling thing. In battle, you're right. Capes in battle are silly.

I suppose they were focusing more on appearances than anything else when designing the characters in these cases though.

But yeah, capes are a bit daft in a fight. No better way to get entangled or strangled than with your own clothing flapping around.

Capes work in battle mainly if you're in a Chinese kung fu movie, because mainly you can spin around and confuse your enemy in such a way that he doesn't see your kick coming. The same works for skirts.

That's why I'm going to eventually redesign most male swordsmen in PS3, not sure about Ayn or Sean though.

The only way to use a skirt to confuse the enemy in battle is to remove it.

Looks like somebody needs to watch the Jackie Chan/Lily Li fight in The Young Master. ;)

Well, that was fast! The artist already has some rough sketches of Thea done.

All I can say is... Thea ROCKS! (Rick might recognize the design inspiration. ;)) The only problem now is that I can't decide which one I like better. I'm thinking the dress on the right with the shoes on the left...

Wow, Tanith. Those are amazing. If you want my opinion, I think the one with the open front on her dress is the best.
