How did you choose your username?

It's always interesting to hear how people come up with the names they use on forums. How did you create the name you use here?

I imagine that a good number of people that post here will have names related to Phantasy Star, like mine. "Thoul" is part of the name of an enemy in PSIV, the Xe-A-Thouls.

Yeah, my name comes from Phantasy Star, too. "Neithird" was once thought to be the name of a character from the Phantasy Star Drama CD. She's really called NM-2011 or something like that, it's the person in my avatar. I always liked the name Neithird more though, so I use that instead.

I picked my name because it's the name of a character from an RPG called EverGrace. She has red hair, which currently is just like me.

Lamanai is the name of an ancient Mayan city. Picked up this name about, oh, 5 or 6 years ago when I was reading up on the Mayans... besides, no one EVER has this name on forums already, so...

I was reading or thinking of the new Fantastic Four movie at the time when I joined, and their new addition this time around - Silver Surfer. I didn't want to be Silver though so I used Secret = Secret Surfer.

Zafneir is a bit of an original name in that I sat down and created a structure for name generation, and this was the one I liked the most.

People assume I'm a communist or from Russia, which are both polar opposites to the truth. I settled into The Komrade because I used to play Command & Conquer Red Alert with my older brother, and he always picked the US, so I got stuck being the Russians so we could have access to all the units. Sigh, little-brother syndrome!

I was wondering about that myself. It's good to hear the story behind the name.

I wanted something that reminded me of a technique. Tsu came to mind, so I went with Tsunami.

I usually go around by either "Fogeltje", "Blitzwing" or "The Silencer". The Silencer is the hero of my second most favourite computer game series, Crusader. Blitzwing was in my eyes the coolest Transformer from Generation 1 and Fogeltje is derived from my last name.

Right now I wished I had taken a different username for this forum, something PS related, but I normally go by one of those three by default.
