Here's Raja!

Meet Raja, a priest from the planet Dezoris. Although considered a highly virtuous, wonderful, and funny person among the Dezorian people, Raja was banished from the main temple due to the actions of some who were jealous of him.

When Chaz and friends exit the crashed shuttle, they meet this old man. The shuttle landed in Raja's rural temple, demolishing the rear of the building. It is the first contact between Motavia and Dezoris in a thousand years (or so we think, until Rune's secrets are revealed later).

What is he holding in his hands? Beads?

Looks like it. I imagine they would be some kind of prayer beads.

Does he ever open his eyes?

Bumping this topic up to get a second look at Raja! I wonder why Raja was considered a funny person. Being a Priest, that is probably not a word that some would use in describing such a person, but it sounds quite appropriate. Sounds like he got a raw deal with being banished from the temple. Anyone know if the markings or drawing symbol on his head gear stand for anything special?

I don't know about the drawing symbol but that is an interesting question indeed! Maybe the mark of the temple ?
