What does Easter mean to you?

Today is "Good Friday", which to many is a term representing the day that Jesus Christ was crucified, and Sunday will be "Easter Sunday", which to many is a term representing the third day after Jesus Christ was crucified and when he was resurrected or "rose from the grave". Easter means many different things to many people. So, what does it mean to you?

A couple of the above--The resurrection of Jesus Christ; the end of the Lent season; Easter eggs and candy; and family togetherness.

Just family. Compared to Christmas we don't really do all that much for Easter. Sometimes we set up easter egg hunts for our little cousins but thats about it really.

It's just another day for me. I'm going to be pulling a double shift today and tomorrow, so I'm going to be too tired to enjoy it much. I do intend on having dinner with my parents, but it's merely a social gathering.

Ever since coming to college, it's been just another Sunday, because it's not a long weekend, I always have work to do and it's not really worth going home. But before that...a nice family weekend, Easter egg hunts, stuff like that. But I am going home with my boyfriend later today, but not for Easter. It's his sister's birthday, and also the first time I'm meeting his family, since they had a dog and that prevented me from ever meeting them due to my allergy. But the dog died the day after Christmas, sadly, but that means I can actually go to his house now. So I guess any little Easter celebrations they hold I get to partake in as well.

A little dinner, that's about it. There's the Jesus angle too I guess, since it wouldn't be holiday at all if not for that. We don't go to church or anything like that, though. My family used to do Easter Egg hunts when I was little, but that's been quite a while, though.

To me, it means that candy's on sale when Easter's over. But, I voted for "Easter Egg Hunts" since it invokes childhood memories of finding hard-boiled eggs that we had dyed. Fun stuff, even if I disliked eating them. :p

Easter is always a special day here. Don't do the baby chick or rabbit thing (unless it is candy to eat) as the real animals deserve more care and attention after Easter is gone and sometimes time is limited, etc. No new clothes either. Other than that, I think all of the above choices.
