I haven't been really scared by a movie, that I can recall, since I was a kid. I couldn't tell you names of any movies that scared me back then. Generally, I tried to avoid scary movies.

I used to be terrified by "The Night Of The Living Dead" movies, I think it was. It was dead people (zombie likes) walking around trying to get every body. Still makes me shiver to think about how it did scare me when I was younger, but I'd probably laugh about it now if I happened to see it again.

Some of the old vampire movies used to scare me pretty good too. I'd even wear a "cross" necklace to bed at night so I'd have protection if a vampire came.

"The Shining" with Jack Nicholson is a pretty scary movie. I can't really think of any others offhand. I don't watch scary movies all that much any more.

Have you ever visited a Ghost House or Scary House on Halloween that was made up by someone just for the occassion? Were you frightened?

This reminds me of a story from middle school... :D

I was in the 5th or 6th grade and the school's stage that connected the gym and the cafeteria was made into a "haunted house" kind of thing. When I went through it, someone (a boy who was in a grade or two higher than me) jumped out and I kicked him as a reaction, :blank: then he fell over and held his shin. I felt really bad for it, was apologising and everything.

So, yes, that was the one thing there that really scared and startled me. But other than that, I've never been to another haunted house or anything.

My elementary school had a haunted house behind the gym for a couple of years, like what Tsunami described. It was pretty spooky and kind of scary for me at the time.

I went through one of those "Haunted House" type things also and it was pretty scary. You know it's not "real" but the surpise of the moment and just the creepy look of the place really do you in. I can do without those types of places. :yikes:

This is a kind of Poll, but I've already used the "poll feature" so I'll just have to ask it and everyone can just post their answer.

Who is your favorite " Witch ", and who do you think is the scariest " Witch " ?

A. Glinda The Good Witch ("Wizard of Oz" movie)
B. Samantha Stevens ("Bewitched" tv series)
C. Wicked Witch ("Wizard Of Oz" movie)
D. Tabitha Stevens ("Bewitched", etc.)
E. Angelique ("Dark Shadows" tv series/movies)
F. Sabrina, The Teenage Witch (tv show/comics)
G. The "Charmed" witches
H. Tabitha ("Passions" witch)
I. Other witches - explain below

I love it all.
I like trick-or-treating, dressing up, eating pumpkin pies, creating haunted houses, eating all the candies and getting sick, etc. etc.
I love it!

Yeah, it's all great! As long as you have fun, that's what counts when it comes to Halloween.

Scary movies: Nightmare on Elm Street! I saw some of that series when I was a kid. It really freaked me out and gave me nightmares! :ill:

Haunted Houses: You'll never get me in one! Not ever! You'll have to drag me kicking and screaming the whole way! :skull: :yikes: :skull:

Witches: There is a lack of scary witches in that list. The Wicked Witch is the most classic and scary of them.

I always liked the Wicked Witch in the Wizard of Oz -- her lines are classic!
