I've always wondered what Gryz actually is. Is he supposed to be based on a bird or on some sort of other animal?

I actually always saw Motavians as furry rodents of sorts.

I always thought Motavians were a cross between Prairie Dogs and some sort of bird.

The only feature that Motavians possess that is somewhat bird-like are their beaks, but beaks aren't exclusive to birds. Squids have beak-like mouths too, after all. I'd say their physical features are more akin to mammals than birds.

But he also looks like an owl o.O Atleast with the way his head looks and I don't think he has much of a neck. Looks like head and shoulders to me (Not the shampoo XD)

Motavian's always seemed a bit weird to me, in what exactly they were based off. Regardless, I have to say they were adorable...in a Chewbacca kinda way
