Students protest fee hikes

Some students in Britian marched to protest a hike in fees at Universities, etc. Some which were up to 3 times as higher. :yikes:

Although I don't condone the violence, I can see why the students were very upset and angry about this fee hike.

It sucks, it's even happening in New Zealand. Polytech = practical university, only better than university, that's the best thing I can compare it to. Prices are going up by $600 in 2011, the uni's are going up too but not sure by how much.

Ouch, those are some pretty hefty hikes. I would be protesting an increase like that, too. It's sad that some resorted to violence, but the organizers of the protest really should have expected that with so many people present.

Isn't Britain the country that has the most ridiculous taxes you could think of? Like, a tax on the amount of televisions you own, etc? I guess the Queen needs more money so she can continue to live comfortably. =\
