Today, April 22, 2011, is Good Friday. Good Friday is a holiday observed by many people to commemorate the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ. It follows Palm Sunday and it precedes Easter Sunday.

In many areas Good Friday is also chosen as a very good time to plant some crops and garden items according to some old almanacs and other gardening advice. I'm not sure but from what I have read, I think this has something to do with the moon being full around that time which makes it a fertile time to plant, or something along those lines.
Happy Good Friday everyone!
