Not an official holiday or anything but I was reading that today, April 4, was the anniversary of the death of Martin Luther King, Jr. King was assassinated 49 years ago on April 4, 1968. A sad day in the history of our country.

Found an interesting story regarding some of the last moments of King's life, etc.:

Today, April 04, 2018 is the 50th anniversary of the death of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. . Many observances and rememberances are taking place all over the USA and the world in his honor today. Such a sad occasion to remember but his life and legacy will remain in the hearts of many forever. :rose:
