Wow, those sound really huge. A pouch large enough to hold a human... that's something. It sounds like there were a lot of other huge animals discovered in this same area, too. Mega-lizards, giant kangaroos... animals of that size would eat the current day versions for breakfast.
Wow, that was a very interesting article and pic. You know, it is interesting to read about these giant animals but it makes me think that if I were alive back in the days when they roamed the earth, it would probably scare me to death to even know they were alive and roaming somewhere, particularly if it was anywhere close to me. If there were any people living then, I'm sure they had to be careful they didn't wind up as food for these creatures also. Pretty scary when you think about it all and the past history of the whole earth.
Why be sacred ? He seemed to be so friendly ! Wanting to see if he can taste a little bit of you ! Isn't it lovely ? ^^ End of the joke : yes a very interesting article indeed for all the reasons we mentionned and especially you, SS.
Considering it’s a type of wombat I doubt it would have ever tried to eat a person. It would definitely be capable of killing someone if it felt threatened but I highly doubt it would eat one’s flesh.
The tree dwelling crocodile might be another story. Just imagine a small crocodile with long legs similar to a lizards. You’ll understand how it can climb trees then.
Well, to each his own. I guess this is just one of those things we may have to agree to disagree on.
A tree dwelling croc, huh??? Sounds interesting. I haven't heard much about those before. I wonder if the late Crocodile Hunter ever wrestled one of those things. He was a wonder to watch how he handled all those various Crocs and other animals. I'll try and read up on these tree dwellers a bit.
