Gaming Magazines

We've had a topic for subscriptions before, but let's take that on a different tangent here. Have you ever browsed through gaming magazines at a store and bought some?

I used to look at buy Electronic Gaming Monthly for Genesis information back in those days. There was one grocery store around here that sold it, so I would always check it out when we went there. Occasionally I would buy an issue, but that was pretty rare.

I never do, it seems pretty pointless to go buy some game magazine unless you're really into discovering something coming up or need to know about it.

HOWEVER, my dad signed up for Playstation club thing, and we got free demos for a while. Thats how we got the best games.
Everything has a pattern. Something set. Even random things. They aren't random at all, its complex mathematics. The trick is to find the pattern. Then you can exploit it.

People think things have a certain end. Taxes. Work. Due dates don't really exist. Trust me. When you put a band of world scholars in the same room, and set them on talking about anything, the most interesting topics come up. The existence of negative time. The probability of "random occurrence". The government's involvement in the media. And falsified due dates. They aren't real, trust me....

I used to get some before the internet. Some books had great tips, maps, cheat codes. I never give them a second glance now, unless I happen to notice an interesting demo disc in a book.

Game Informer is the only magazine for console gaming worth reading. Everything else is pretty crappy anymore. I check out PC Gamer mainly to read up on new gear, and I just started getting Games for Windows, since I got it for like $10 for a year. I agree with others though. The internet has rendered them pretty useless.
