Gaming for Gulf Restoration

Postby Atlinsmere » Mon Aug 23, '10, 5:17 am

The Speed Gamers are doing a 72 hour marathon run of Prince of Persia and Assassin's Creed, raising money for restoration of the Gulf of Mexico. It is currently going on right now, here's the link to the live feed.

I think this is an awesome thing to do.

(Also I wasn't sure if this was the right section to put it in but I figured it's alright. >.>)

I don't like watching this stuff (speed runs are kinda boring to me), but I like what they do. I think earlier this year or the year before they did a speed run of the whole Mother series to raise money for * cancer research.
Next Pokemon game(s): Pearl
Last finished Pokémon game: Shield
Other games: Skyrim Special Edition (Switch), Spyro Reignited Trilogy (Switch & PS4), Okami (Switch & PS4)
Other gaming goals: completing a Living Pokedex (minus some event Pokes) and going through at least 1 game per generation

Speed runs aren't my particular cup of tea, but I'm always glad to see gamers working for a worthy cause. Especially when they're able to use their passion for games in the process. I hope this fundraiser is a great success.
