Sturdiest system

I was just at the Gamefaqs Gamecube board and I saw an interesting topic about sturdy systems.

In your opinion, what is the sturdiest video game system?

Like, most Durable? Cross out PS in that case, perhaps any of the newer systems, so far, the oldest system is our most long lasting.

The probability of "random occurrence". The government's involvement in the media. And falsified due dates. They aren't real, trust me....

In my personal opinion, the NES. Mine still works just fine, while other systems aren't doing so well. Like the Sega Genesis; I have more than one (since I gotten ahold of my brother's) and none of them work anymore!

My Super Nintendo has taken quite a few hits, but it still keeps on trucking! I try to be careful with all my consoles, so most don't take much abuse. I haven't needed to replace any.

We dropped all of our systems at least 3 times each. Genesis, and Turbo Grafx are the only ones we didn't have to replace. Cept the reset button doesn't work well any more.

My PlayStation 2 has been pretty sturdy, moreso than I would expect. It's been kicked repeatedly, stepped on, lifted slightly and quickly dropped. It still works great, though!

I'd like to say my original NES was sturdy, but it really wasn't. We knocked it around several times, but it eventually stopped working.

I don't think I've damaged or dropped any of my systems so I can't really answer my own question.

I'd have to go with the PS3. The darn thing is built like a tiny fortress, and weighs a lot. I was shocked when I first took it out of the box.

I have to go with the NES also. We try to be careful with all our game equipment but sometimes things just happen ya know. The NES has worked fairly well and still going.

The NES for me as well. Mine's second-hand, and that little grey box ghugs along just fine, even on a transformer!

Whenever I hear a case of "The Red Ring of Death" on a 360, I always think of my little system and snicker away.
