Futuristic Phantasy Star clothing

Postby Rune_Walsh » Fri Mar 26, '10, 12:06 am

It sounds random, but I love some of the clothing styles from the classic series. Now, I have no desire to walk around in Nei's getup (er, not in public anyway!) but I honestly do like some of the futuristic fashion appeals of Phantasy Star characters and townspeople.

Take this image, for instance: Image

I wish I was skilled at sewing, because I would totally make this dress for myself, even in this color. The girdle would be especially fun to make. Add some pleather boots, and voila! Maybe I should try to find a pattern and work with it, but it's been a long time since I used the sewing maching.

Anyone else feelin' me here?

You can find that outfit at alot of Cosplay stores XD

It's almost just a Quipao or Cheongsam with a girdle..

I'd date a girl wearing it :D

Oh yeah! I'd wear Alis's outfit in a heartbeat. If I had a reason to, that is... My poor sewing machine hasn't gotten much use lately, either.

Thank you so much for mentioning this, Rick! I did a little searching and found this, too bad it's sold out, but it's perfect. It's my size, too. Sigh. Just my my luck!

Its nearly the same clothes, except the white ligne in the middle. But you can do it yourself I think and it will be the same think^^

And this is true, me too , I really like the clothes in Phantasy star (the IV). The Gryz Clothes is really awesome, with the ''metal bar'' on his chest is really cool^^

Nice. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. :D

 Indeed, I owe it all to you! Seriously, I'd never heard of a cheongsam, but that seems to be exactly what the ladies of Algo wear.

I know what you mean, I think Phantasy Star has some cool outfit designs. I remembered I liked Hahn's fiancee's outfit a lot; I would totally cosplay that. Alys (PSI) too!

Personally I prefer the Quipao more XD But a Cheongsam is nice too.

In fact, it seems chinese/japanese fashion is better.

RW - I found some blue boots! They're not quite as cyan as the girl's boots from the game, but I think they'd work!

These seem to have a sturdier heel, and I like the extra-glossy patent, too:

I couldn't find any over-the-knee boots in blue. Bah.

Oh, and the gloves, too (they look fingerless on the PSI girl, but maybe I'm just seeing things!):
