Starbucks re-do

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Mon Oct 18, '10, 7:49 pm

Starbucks is thinking of possibly adding something new and different to some of their stores...beer and wine. One such store has recently opened in the Seattle area:

If this one such store is successful, might this be the future for Starbucks stores in other areas?

Do you think this is a good move by Starbucks, or not, and why?

I'm sure it will bring them a lot of additional business. They will probably have a fight on their hands if they try to expand this to some of the smaller communities, though. In particular, in locations near schools or in malls, if such exist, would probably be prohibited from adding these items to the menu.

I think this would work really well in some locations. I can think of a couple in my area where it would be a perfect fit.

At the same time, I agree that there are many locations where it would be a disaster to try this.
