Andy Griffith dies

There's lots to talk about on the smaller screen.

Andy Griffith dies

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Wed Jul 4, '12, 12:49 pm

Andy Griffith, star of "The Andy Griffith Show", "Matlock", and other tv shows and movies has passed away at the age of 86. He also did several musical CD's and other endeavors, including the video for the song "Waitin' On A Woman", with his friend, country music star Brad Paisley. Sad news to lose this star and funny man, but he will be remembered by his many fans and with the entertainment work he left us with.

According to what I'm reading online this morning, it seems Griffith may have been buried on the same day that he died. Wow, that was fast!!!

May he R.I.P. :tombstone: :rose:

Condolences to his family.

Anyone here a fan of "The Andy Griffith Show" or "Matlock"? I have several DVD's of "TAGS" and watch them occassionally. It is a very funny show. :D

Thanks for all the laughs, Andy.

It's very sad. His work was entertaining to many generations, so this is a great loss for TV. That was a quick burial, but maybe he didn't want a long, drawn out ceremony. Some people would prefer moving forward quickly with just close friends and family around.
