New $5.00 Bill

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Thu Mar 13, '08, 11:51 pm

The new $5.00 bill is now out, although don't throw your old ones away cause they are still good too.

I don't know about this "new" money. The old stuff seemed just fine to me.

What do you think? Old or New money - which do you like best?

I heard they wanna get rid of president coins and replace them with new, more valuable coins. Its all pointless in my opinion.
Everything has a pattern. Something set. Even random things. They aren't random at all, its complex mathematics. The trick is to find the pattern. Then you can exploit it.

People think things have a certain end. Taxes. Work. Due dates don't really exist. Trust me. When you put a band of world scholars in the same room, and set them on talking about anything, the most interesting topics come up. The existence of negative time. The probability of "random occurrence". The government's involvement in the media. And falsified due dates. They aren't real, trust me....

Most of the new bills have more anti-counterfeiting measures introduced, which is a good thing. I don't see much of a need to change the visual designs, though. Everyone knows what the old bills looks like, so it would be easier to stay with that, I'd think.

The coins... well, I'm surprised they haven't changed more already. I think this year is the last year for the state quarters, so a new quarter design will probably appear next year.

That big purple 5 on the back looks ridiculous.

The new Five almost looks...gaudy. I do understand the need to prevent counterfeiting, but still, I miss the old money.

If the bill itself was more pink, it'd match the pink $5 bill in Monopoly money! :D

Now that I've seen it, I have to agree. The purple 5 really looks out of place and gaudy. They could have at least used the same font style the three other fives have.

I don't like the way the new bill looks. It's gawd awful looking. As long as it spends the same, I don't really care how it looks.
