Flying Kites ....

I think today is Kite Day, and that makes me want to go out and fly a kite. Anyone else like to fly kites? Today would be a very good day for it here since it is very, very windy today. I can almost picture a kite sailing up, up, up and away, in the sky now. Sounds like fun!

Unfortuneatly, spring doesn't really exist here, we go from freezing winter to incinerating summer. Kites are sometimes fun on a nice day, but we don't have any anymore.

Hm, I haven't flown a kite in years. There's too many power lines around to really do it safely in the fields I used to use now. That was pretty fun back then, though.

Ba humbug! Kites always get caught up in trees and get torn up. That's no fun.

I recall when I was pretty young and I'd fly kites with my siblings...though they'd get broken easily from crashing into the ground. Still, it was a fun experience, though at the time I couldn't keep it in the air for long.
