You're welcome ! Here in France there isn't really a flag day but soon it'll be the national day on the 14th of july (ten days after your country ^^).

French national day is July, the 12th, since 1998

Hmmm, maybe the reference to July 12th in 1998 is referring to when France won the World Cup and had even more reason than National Day/Bastille Day to celebrate that year.

I love July 12th. That day is my birthday.

You're right, Bastille day is on the 14th of july, as the Bastille was "taken" on the 14th of july 1789 during the french revolution.
But the event chose by the new republican government in 18 wasn't Bastille day but the 14th of july 1790 ! I t was what they called "Fête de la fédération"
