New legislation passed by the Senate may be the downfall for "pot" brownies, and other similar substances that may be combined with types of candy products, etc.

I can't see that being much more effective than the previous penalties. If people want to or already do this kind of thing illegally, I don't think they are going to be particularly less likely to do it just because the punishment increased.
