Mostly progressive rock, psychedelic rock, jazz-rock, folk rock, blues-rock and hard-rock.
A person only sees and hears what he wants to see and hear and disregards the rest.

Metal. Lots and lots of metal.
After Forever, Apocalyptica, Dark Moor, Delain, Dragonforce, Dragonland, Epica, Evergrey, Fairyland, Kamelot, Lunatica, Nightwish, Northern Kings, Rhapsody of Fire, Sirenia, Sonata Arctica, Therion, Tristania, Van Canto, Visions of Atlantis, Wildpath, Within Temptation... that's just a little bit.
I like some non metal stuff too. Like Electric Light Orchestra, Sarah Brightman, Trans Siberian Orchestra... and videogame soundtracks. My favorites are from the Guilty Gear and Blazblue series, as well as Ys.

My favorite genre is punk, especially pop-punk, bands like New Found Glory, Blink-182, and MxPx.
I listen to a lot of other stuff like Kerli (not sure what genre she fits into) trance/techno, alternative, Japanese pop, and video game soundtracks (Y's has the greatest music ever written!)
I can't stand rap and I'm not fond of country either.

I'll listen to mostly anything besides RnB and country (both can actually be hit or miss sometimes), but if I had to pick my favorite genres, they'd have to be:
Heavy Metal
Classic Rock
House (mostly classic house, like SF-UR from GTA San Andreas)
Techno/Eurodance (thanks to Pandora Radio
)
80's music
Ambient/Chillout
Classic Hip-Hop
Pop
and if video game music counts, then I might as well add that too.
