Favorite type of music?

Metal and progressive rock. But I can listen to just about anything except rap and country.

And I concur with you regarding country and rap... ugh. Bluegrass is great, though; I love the O, Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack.

I listen to any kind of metal really . Mostly Nu Metal though because many of Disturbed’s songs are in that genre along with Hard Rock. I also like Power Metal and Melodic Death Metal.

My favourite bands would be Disturbed , Avenged Sevenfold, In Flames, Hibria, Metallica, Slip Knot and DragonForce. I have a few others too. And I absolutely hate rap and hip-hop to bad my younger brother likes those genres of music.

Yes to both of those, as well as many of the artists Lucas listed. Along with that, I'll name Sonata Arctica, Porcupine Tree, Muse and many others I don't wish to name as the list could go on for a very long time.

I really love to listen some metal group like Rammstein and System of a down. Some group like that. I listen a funny french group : Oldelaf & monsieur d. And some group from Quebec : Mononc' serge et Anonymus (yep thats the name of the group )

Symphonic and Gothic metal. Nightwish ftw. Also, I like a lot of soundtrack music.

Alternative rock, new age, new wave, orchestral, dance... the list goes on, except for RnB, rap, hip-hop and country.

I don't like rap either. Well I don't like modern day rap, but the old school stuff like Grandmaster Flash, Run DMC and Public Enemy are still awesome. That out of the way, I like:
Heavy Metal (I don't like black metal or modern day metal though)
Punk Rock (as in The Ramones, The Clash, Black Flag, bands like that)
Classic Rock
80's music
60's soul
AOR stuff

I like Alternative rock, Japanese Pop, and Dutch Gothic Rock/Metal.
