Favorite Quotes

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Thu May 31, '07, 6:03 pm

Anyone have any favorite quotations from anywhere (games, movies, or otherwise) that you would like to share with us here?

One of my absolute favorites is from one of my favorite movies "Gone With The Wind", when Rhett Butler says, "Frankly My Dear, I Don't Give A D_ _!". :yaknow:

(Sorry, about not spelling out all of the last word, but I think everyone can guess what it is and besides that, board rules might not allow it). :pan:

I heard one recently that I really liked, but I'm not sure where it came from. "If it can be dreamed, it can be done."

That word is allowed. When using most words that aren't, the board will tell you if you include them in your post.

"The dentist who drills his own teeth has a fool for a patient."
- My swedish friend.

He picked it up somewhere, and I thought it was pretty funny.

"Meeeoooowwwowowowowow..."
- My cat crying into the night.

No other quotes come to mind, but it's amusing, and annoying, how he goes off like a siren when he wants attention.

[One of the most awesome sci-fi moments ever: Doctor Who- Logopolis, Part Four]

(Camera pans on The Doctor, as he lies motionless beneath the Pharos Project radio tower. His companions run up to him.)

Nyssa: Doctor?!

Tegan: ...Doctor?

(Flashbacks to his previous companions- Sarah Jane, Ian, Leela, K9, Brigadier Stewart, and the first two Romanas, each asking "Doctor?")

Adric: Doctor!

The Fourth Doctor: (smiles) ...It's the end. But the moment... has been prepared for. (looks up, over his shoulder, at a ghostlike figure)

Adric: The Watcher!

Nyssa: He was the Doctor the whole time!

(The Watcher merges with the Doctor, triggering his regeneration into the Fifth Doctor)

Credits: Doctor Who- TOM BAKER
Doctor Who- PETER DAVISON

I think it was Nancy Regan that coined the phrase, but it may have been someone else. "Just say No!".

The most memorable quote of 2007 chosen is:

"Don't Tase Me Bro!"

My own quote:

"Life is only unfair because of the people who use that excuse to make it that way"
Everything has a pattern. Something set. Even random things. They aren't random at all, its complex mathematics. The trick is to find the pattern. Then you can exploit it.

People think things have a certain end. Taxes. Work. Due dates don't really exist. Trust me. When you put a band of world scholars in the same room, and set them on talking about anything, the most interesting topics come up. The existence of negative time. The probability of "random occurrence". The government's involvement in the media. And falsified due dates. They aren't real, trust me....
